THINK. GREEN. STOP USING SINGLE-USE PLASTICS.

We all know the damaging effects our plastic addiction is having on planet Earth, let’s try to slow this down a bit, together!

HOW. TO. HELP.

Take a look at some of the things you can start doing right now to cut down on plastic waste!

Recycle more

Here in the UK, we are fortunate to have a system in place where we can simply drop our plastic bottles into a recycling bin. So have you taken the pledge to do this as frequently as possible?

Buy recyclable products

Similar to recycling products, you should only buy products that can be recycled, so that you can recycle them!

Get a reusable water bottle

If you regularly purchase drinking water in those single-use plastic bottles, perhaps you could try a reusable water bottle to save money and the environment.

Avoid plastic straws

Plastic straws hurt animals and pollute the planet. There are better alternatives that do much less damage. Next time you are offered a plastic straw, politely remind that person to find a better alternative.

Avoid plastic bags

Living in the UK, we’re charged to buy plastic bags at our stores now. However, buying a plastic bag does not help to save the environment. Try to purchase a better reusable plastic free solution for your shopping.

Sign petitions

Make the Government listen by signing and creating petitions on the Government e-petitions website.

Consider joining Greenpeace UK

Greenpeace exist to help create a better future for our planet by tackling environmental pollution.

Avoid plastic wrap / cling film

If you’re able to afford one of the substitutes such as plant wax food wraps… maybe it is time to switch

Wash with soap

Try avoiding shower gel that is probably just as bad as buying bottled water. Instead try buying a bar of soap.
