Bean-to-cup coffee machines

A bean-to-cup coffee machine has an in-built grinder which grinds coffee beans on-demand.

Grinding coffee beans on-demand produces the freshest coffee possible.

Furthermore, bean-to-cup coffee machines are simpler to use than other coffee device types, especially if you share something in common with a Luddite, bean-to-cup coffee machines are relatively easy to control in terms of technology.

Some models also take ground coffee as well.  However, bean-to-cup coffee machines aren’t inexpensive despite their ease of use and tend to be more expensive than other coffee device types.

Price range is roughly £250 to well over £1000

Espresso coffee machine

Espresso coffee machines tend to be more affordable than bean-to-cup coffee machines and take a range of ground coffees.

When compared to a pod and capsule coffee machine, an espresso coffee machine does not restrict usage to a particular coffee brand.

Additionally, ground coffee is a less expensive than coffee pods and capsules.

However, espresso coffee machines require a more hands-on approach and of course, there are more rigorous cleaning requirements than bean-to-coffee machines.

Environmentalists can also sleep easy without knowing that they’ve contributed less waste than they would with a pod and capsule coffee machine.

Price range is roughly between £100 to £200
